Welcome to Saxon math 8/7. In Math 8/7 our goal is to ensure that students learn and remember the foundational skills of mathematics. Preparing students for Algebra 1/2.

Parents: Many students are not completing corrections as required. Therefore, beginning next week (Monday, January 9th) students that are behind on corrections will stay in class during recess, lunch and after school until he/she is caught up. Thank You.

Tips for Success in Math...

*Attendance

Attend class regularly and arrive on time

* Ask Questions

Don't be afraid to ask questions in class. There are always other students in class who have the same question but are too shy to ask.

* Read your Text

Read the explanations and examples in your text after the teacher's lecture. This will reinforce what you have learned in class. Attempt the example problems with your book closed.

* Homework

Do your homework as soon after the lecture as possible. Correct any incorrect/missed problems immediately or as soon as possible.

* Preparing for Math Tests

A couple (at least two) days before the tests, start to work through the sections to be covered on the test. Be prepared to ask questions on anything that is not understood the day before the test. make sure you know the steps needed for each solution. Also make sure you know and understand all key definitions and theorems.
